Dear Parents,
Welcome to first grade! I am looking forward to being your child’s teacher! I thought I would begin by telling you a little bit about myself.
I graduated from the University of Maine in Orono in 1998. There I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, as well as my Master’s Degree in Early Literacy. This is my twelfth year at Mitchell School. I have taught first and second grade here and love them both! I especially love our school, principal, and the tremendous amount of programs and activities we have to offer our students.
I have a wonderful family! It is so nice to be able to spend the summer with my husband and two sons. Michael just turned seven and Aidan is four and a half. We have been quite busy swimming, planting flowers, camping, and visiting with friends and family.
