Dear Community Members,
Although it is winter and there may be snow on the ground, this is a perfect time at the Kittery Adult Education Program “to plant some seeds for your future”! You can start planting seeds for your future by earning your GED or High School Diploma. This winter, you can also learn about careers in the fast growing healthcare field and you can choose from a number of courses that will give you training to enter the medical field in the future. You can learn about Starting Your Small Business and about Guiding a Small Business through an Economic Downturn.
You can also learn some ways that you can plant seeds of energy efficiency in your home or business. You will hear how one Kittery couple reduced their energy use and saved money through adding solar additions to their older home, and how another resident converted a 225 year old home to Geothermal Heating. You can get seeds of learning this winter/spring through our “New Victory Garden” series for planting seeds in your garden this summer. This semester come sample some of our new variety of seeds- get an inside view of China, learn some Arabic, attend our Local Filmmakers Series and Local Cookbook Author’s series.
In addition, we are pleased to announce that we have planted a new seed for the convenience of all of you- on-line registration! You can now register for classes at www.kittery.maineadulted.org and pay using a paypal account.
Join us at the Kittery Adult Education Program this winter/spring and start planting some seeds for your future.
Sincerely,
Pauli Rines, Director
